Lenny Loader & a bucket of glitter

So I finally got around to making SOMETHING with the 2nd image from Sunshine's stamps! Go Check out her blog for some free digital images... drawn by none other than her hubby Rob.
Thank you to all the ladies that created before me to give me the idea of GLITTER in his bucket ;) I don't think I would have thought of it!

Happy Birthday Dad

Anyone who knows my dad know this card is totally for him! Anyone who doesn't, well my dad ALWAYS always ALWAYS wears a Hawaiian shirt. ALWAYS ;) (or at the very least a printed button up shirt, not plaid, not stripes) and his favorite color is Yellow, followed closely by Orange ;) Today is Dad's Birthday, since I am on vacation this week, Gabryel and I popped in & surprized him with a plate of brownies & this card. :)

SO these shirts were stamped {beautifully I might add} for me by Julie (TexasJ at SCS ~ THANK YOU) in Tempting Turquoise & Pumpkin Pie. I cut them out and then layered them, popping up the orange one, which you can see in the detail.

Then I just layered with YoYo Yellow and matching the Tempting Turquoise & Pumpkin Pie - stitched those with my sewing machine and turquoise thread.... added the little "fakie" brads and followed by mounting all that on the YoYo Yellow card base. Stamped Happy Birthday inside

Stamps: SU! Do the Hula
Paper: SU! YoYo Yellow, Tempting Turquoise & Pumpkin Pie
Ink: SU! Tempting Turquoise & Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Colorbox metal dots, Sewing machine, thread

HI There Tami

Well, one of the gals on SCS had surgery so I made her this little card....

Thought I was being clever ;) but I guess JenMarie sent her a card using the same image! LOL
Hope it still brightened your day Tami!! heehee

Stamps: Penny Black Uplifting Occasion, Saavy Stamps sentiment
Paper: PTI Lemon Tart, light pink Bazzill cs
Ink: Memento Angel Pink, SU Summer Sun
Accessories: Yellow organdy ribbon, markers

Firecraker swap!

OK, so I am a little slow on posting this..... The gals I "hang" with on SCS (splitcoast stampers) we had a secret sister swap which was very fun, we all swapped names, and got each other presents, then we all opened them online like a party heehee!
So, in addition to buying things for my Sista I made her some things.... watch out her fave color is pink! lol

So I made her this altered composition note book...... First one for me ;) - I received one in another swap that I was in a couple years ago and thought that it was pretty neat!! (Thanks Nina!! ) I made mine into an address book, but she can do whatever :) I stickled all over part of the printed design & used Coredinations Black Magic cs, crumplin', tearin' and sandin' that. I left the back pretty plain.
Here's a close up of the glittering.....

Then I thought.... sheesh that's not enough, so I got one of those big letters that you can decorate....

I tore all the dps and inked the edges of some to give it detail & interest... then I mod podged it all on there and then all over it, followed by some sealer spray
applied the flowers and tied on the ribbons! Voila! heehee
then of course I bought her some things she was wishy-wishin' for ;)

and here's the card that I made for her as well...

Now here's what my Firecracker got for me......

she altered me a BUNCHA stuff... all of course using my fave colors
and the Pearls she got me fell down & I didn't notice hehe, so they're not here ~~ OH and the embossing powder..... It's Scented!! like Coffee.... which I LOVE! {haven't used it yet though}
Just Look at this CAute! giant clothes pin.... look she shrinky dink'd that little girl! I LOVE it!

and finally close up of the card she sent me :)
Thanks STUFFIE!!
