New Desk

OK so here's some pics of my new Desk from IKEA - I saw these drawers (especially the thin wide ones) and knew I MUST HAVE IT! ;)

I do like how the whole thing turned out and it really opened up the space to not have the hutch part of the desk

And here's some inside drawer views.... First one is the Ink ;) it's in the Wide Format drawer to the Left of the desk

Next here are three from the "leg" of the desk - this one is reinkers/stickles and I also have my sponges, but I've moved them already to the other drawer ;)

Patterned papers.... 4.5x6 and 6x6 and such small sizes

Extra Adhesives and blades, stuff that's not used ALL The TIME in the bottom drawer :)

Still working out how exactly I am going to have every thing laid out, but I think I am LOVING the ribbon situation!
Inside the wide format drawer I fit my two cropper hopper embellishment cases - I just took off the covers and now I can see my collection at a glance! no more pulling down the case, opening it and looking... I just slide open the drawer and there it is in all it's rainbow glory!! :)

hard embelishment cases (there are two layers stacked) large have bigger things and the small are brads & eyelets, sorted by color of course !
well hope you enjoyed looking at my new desk! :)

Curtain Call #24

OK, so here's my take on the Curtain Call-Act 24 Challenge for this week. This is a weekly color challenge and this week's is So Saffron, Kraft, Whisper White, Garden Green & Tempting Turquoise. I struggled a little to use all these color together and I am so not a big fan of Kraft, but luckily I did have one 1/4 sheet LOL! I also inked the image panel with Tempting Turquioise and Garden Green at the bottom.

Hope you like it!

I was trying for quicker & easier/simpler so I did these 3 as 4.25 square cards

And this one is "regular" size.... I inked over the sentiment with Lovely Lilac ink, it was stamped on white since I got all of these image from PIF or WRAK :) Thanks ladies!!

More Cards

OK seems like I am getting back into the swing :)

I don't know how everyone else goes about making cards, but I usually have MANY many "in the works" I have tons of images already colored that's for sure, but also I have a pile of 1/2 made cards, sometimes it's just the papers picked, sometimes I've cut the mats already & picked out the bg paper and the ribbon too.....so I banged out these 5 cards yesterday ;)

This one I rec'd the image from WRAK and I don't know the name.... colored it with Copic markers and the BG is Cuttlebug embossing folder which I used on DCWV cs and then I sanded it.
~Card Recipe~
Stamps: Wrak'd Angel
Paper: DCWV Blue, Green Galore
Accessories: Copic & like Markers, Variegated Sheer ribbon, CM cutting system Ovals, CB embossing Folder Tiny Bubbles, sandpaper

This one I used the negative space from the previous card for the cut out oval. I usually do that, when I need to cut a shape I will cut it from the center of a 4.25x5.5 piece, so that I can still use the leftover for a card base and cover it up... and sometimes I use the cutout :) So I colored this with markers again... (I hardly ever use pencils & OMS anymore) and then I sponged lightly with Summer Sky memento ink.

Paper: Green Galore, Bazzill (close to Pacific Point)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black & Summer Sky, VersaFine Lagoon

Here's a late Valentine.... I never did post the other ones I made... maybe tomorrow :)
I got this image & sentiment from Sheila - thanks!!! Colored with markers and for the sentiment I punched it with the word window and then punched it again to make it shorter, then inked it with TH Distress inks.

Stamps: Our Craft Lounge Bubs the Beaver
Paper: Bazzill red, Basic Grey Euphoria dp
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Inks Tea Dye & Brushed Corduroy

This one has been laying around a while..... I also sponged around this one with the Summer Sky ink and added paper glaze to the rain & puddle - OH and I got the sentiment from Laurie!! TY! - OH and the Glitter paper I used for the buckle punch from Lee! :)~Card Recipe~
Stamps: Magnolia Tilda, PTI sentiment
Paper: DCWV blue, Rainbow Sherbet dsp, Green Galore, Gable Green, DCWV glitter paper
Ink: Green Galore
Accessories: CB Sliders die cut, EK Buckle punch, Word Window Punch, American Crafts Ribbon, Aleene's Paper Glaze, Copic & like markers

This one came about because I was stamping this image for wishes ;) I just LOVE that color marker that I used for his main skin, it's Prismacolor marker "LimePeel" and I think I need to find a Copic match, because I fear it will run out soon! Pen-stitched the square.
