Magical Monday - Introducing Beached Boat

Good Morning Magic Makers! This week's Free Limited Edition digital stamp is Beached Boat by Nina May at There's Magic in the Air

Today's Challenge is to make a GateFold card...... I have to admit, I mostly stick to the basic A2 ( 5.5x4.25") size card, so this is my first attempt at this style. It was definately a challenge for me. Nina has found a great link to some Gatefold card instructions and I did basically follow that, except for the size..... I'd printed this out in a larger size than I normally would work with, (5" x3.5") but I didn't like my coloring "skills" on the smaller one haha
Anyway this card is 6" x 5.5" and I scored at 3.5" on the one side and 2.5" on the other

here's the card half open, so you can see how the gatefold opens and the image panel tucks behind the popped up sentiment to keep it closed

and here's the inside... I've left the open space for writing, or stamping a sentiment before I send it out. and I inked the edges and stamped the bird on the poles from My MFT By the Seashore set

So get on over to There's Magic in the Air and get your copy... they are FREE for a limited time only.... and there's the gatefold card challenge with a random prize drawing for participating as well!
Also she has the blog candy giveaway being drawn today! so get following!! and stay tuned for Photo polymer stamps featuring original art by Nina May!

Good Morning! I think I've been on a yellow & green kick lately :) here's the card that I did for the MFT One Click Challenge last week ~ didn't win, but Hey I think I got a pretty cool card out of it. The challenge was to use Gingham and of course My Favorite Things stamps
here I've used Cupcake Flopsey and gingham ribbon... and I think the bottom dp is kinda gingham-y too. I colored with Copic & Bic Markers, cut him out & popped him up. I inked the edge both dps and I used scallop scissors, since I don't have any nesties... yet LOL
