Magical Monday - Anything BUT a Card

OK SO today's FREE Limited TIME Image from There's Magic in the Air is NOT THE ONE I USED LOL - it IS Snowy Flight, but I used the wrong image in today's Challenge....when you see today's actual free image, I think that you will see how I got confused, and well...I guess I subconsciously just wanted to use the turtle :) Nina was gracious enough to let me go ahead & post it as a sneak peek of the images that will be available in her new store, Paper Cupcakes! How Exciting! This Week's Challenge was to make "anything but a card." I have made a little card purse. I found the instructions online..... on Andrea Walford's blog Sunny Stampin' Inc., so head on over there for the step by step, she also offers a template, which I did not download, I just used the dimensions she gave.

So here it is..
for my ribbon tabs, I used a Cuttlebug ribbon label die cut and cut it in half, and I used the slit punch to make the scallops

Magical Monday - Skating By

Good morning! It's Magical Monday again! This Weeks Limited Time FREE Image is Skating By , by Nina May at There's Magic in the Air. This week's challenge is to use something reflective. Here is my card and I've used some sheet metal that I got a while ago at a local scrapbooking store, this is really cool stuff. It's a very thin metal sheet. and I've pierced some lines on it to give it some dimension.

Thanks for stopping by!

Magical Monday - Monochromatic

Good morning! It's Magical Monday again! This Weeks Limited Time FREE Image is Elegant Pumpkins, by Nina May at There's Magic in the Air. Can be used for Thanksgiving or just any Fall type card. This weeks challenge is to do a monochromatic card. This means using any one color (and you can use different shades of this color), and you may use a neutral (white, gray or black) Of course you may color the image as you see fit, just the remainder of the card has to be monochromatic. Here's my card.
Of course I chose my color to be green and my neutral is white. Even the stitching I used green thread :) hehe

Magical Monday - Cornucopia

This week's Limited Edition free image from Nina May at There's Magic in the Air is Cornucopia. Such a great detailed image. This week's challenge is to create a card using buttons.

I printed it out at about 3.5x4" colored with markers and inked all of the edges, except the base, using distress inks. I tied the raffia on the buttons and stuck those on with glue dots.
