Boys Birthdays

Made some boyish birthday cards this past weekend. It's just too easy to make the girly ones, though the boy ones do tend to be simpler without all the ribbon & frills heehee

The first one is Soccer Riley, and I guess it could be sent to a girl too :)

Colored Riley with markers and cut out the star and popped that up on foam squares

~Card Recipe~
Stamps: Hanna Stamps Soccer Riley, Inque Boutique Mini Stars
Paper: Brilliant Blue, Real Red, patriotic dp
Ink: VersaFine Majestic, black
Accessories: Sizzix photo corner die cuts, markers

This one is definitely for a little space dude ;)

Colored this one with markers too and cut out the space ship and planet - the planet is a little raised off the card base due to the image & mat there under it and the rocket is on foam squares

here's a detail of that

~Card Recipe~
Stamps: Lizzie Ann Designs Out of this World
Paper: Brilliant Blue, Bazzill bright orange & light blue
Ink: VersaFine black & unknown on the planet
Accessories: markers, blue brad

Magical Monday Kick off Celebration!

Morning ladies!! It's Magical Monday and today is the BIG Celebration Kick off!! woohoo!

This week's Free Limited Edition digital stamp is Orson with Cake. Isn't he just the cutest!!

here's my card

I printed him out twice at about 2.5"inches.... give or take LOL
colored with markers and then I also colored just the cake & cut that out and put it on popdots.
I felt like I just HAD to use some embossing in honor of Nina today, because she IS the one who got me all set up to emboss! :) The sentiment is a combo of two stamps that I embossed in two colors, cut out and also on popdots, finally, inked the edge of the image panel and the dp and added ribbon.
here's a side view of the popped up part
as always you can click each image for a closer view

So get on over to There's Magic in the Air and get your copy... they are FREE for a limited time only.... and there's a challenge with a random prize drawing for participating as well!
Also she has the blog candy giveaway being drawn August 17th so get following!! and stay tuned for Photo polymer stamps featuring original art by Nina May!

Happy Birthday Dad

Anyone who knows my dad know this card is totally for him! Anyone who doesn't, well my dad ALWAYS always ALWAYS wears a Hawaiian shirt. ALWAYS ;) (or at the very least a printed button up shirt, not plaid, not stripes) and his favorite color is Yellow, followed closely by Orange ;) Today is Dad's Birthday, since I am on vacation this week, Gabryel and I popped in & surprized him with a plate of brownies & this card. :)

SO these shirts were stamped {beautifully I might add} for me by Julie (TexasJ at SCS ~ THANK YOU) in Tempting Turquoise & Pumpkin Pie. I cut them out and then layered them, popping up the orange one, which you can see in the detail.

Then I just layered with YoYo Yellow and matching the Tempting Turquoise & Pumpkin Pie - stitched those with my sewing machine and turquoise thread.... added the little "fakie" brads and followed by mounting all that on the YoYo Yellow card base. Stamped Happy Birthday inside

Stamps: SU! Do the Hula
Paper: SU! YoYo Yellow, Tempting Turquoise & Pumpkin Pie
Ink: SU! Tempting Turquoise & Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Colorbox metal dots, Sewing machine, thread
